SELECTION 1: PART 66 BASIC TRAINING
   ► Being a Licensed Mechanic is a highly skilled and responsible job, and it takes two of theoretical study along with 2 more practical experience in a maintenance organisation, in order to be eligible for obtaining the licence. This is just the beginning for most Licensed           Mechanics, however, who do more study and gain more experience toward specialising in aircraft types, they most want to work on.
   ► One can start his / hers training courses at any time, but cannot apply for a licence until the age of 18. Training includes both theoretical and practical parts, followed by examinations and practical assessments.
   ► The candidates must be able to read, write and communicate to an understandable level in the English language in which almost all the technical documentation and procedures necessary to support the issue of the certificate of release to service are written.

   ► Groups of Aircraft Mechanics
   Licensed Aircraft Mechanics are divided into two main groups according to European Aviation Legislation:
  • Group B1.1. This is when the candidate decides to follow and attend the course which will provide him / her with technical knowledge concerning mechanical skills. This group applies for aeroplane turbine.
  • Group B2. This is when the candidate decides to follow and attend the course which will provide him / her with technical knowledge concerning avionics skills.

   ► The main courses provided by TQAS are EASA Part-66 CAT B1.1 and B2 for turbine powered engine aeroplanes as complete module courses including Practical Training in real maintenance environment.

   ► THE COURSE
   The training subjects that a candidate whishing to become a Licensed Aircraft Mechanic has to attend at TQAS are divided into the following modules according to European Aviation Legislation requirements:

  • MODULE 1. MATHEMATICS
  • MODULE 2. PHYSICS
  • MODULE 3. ELECTRICAL FUNDAMENTALS
  • MODULE 4. ELECTRONIC FUNDAMENTALS
  • MODULE 5. DIGITAL TECHNIQUES ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT SYSTEMS
  • MODULE 6. MATERIALS AND HARDWARE
  • MODULE 7. MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
  • MODULE 8. BASIC AERODYNAMICS
  • MODULE 9. HUMAN FACTORS
  • MODULE 10. AVIATION LEGISLATION
  • MODULE 11A.    TURBINE AEROPLANE AERODYNAMICS, STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS (for B1.1 only)
  • MODULE 13. AIRCRAFT AERODYNAMICS, STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS (for B2 only)
  • MODULE 14 PROPULSION (for B2 only)
  • MODULE 15. GAS TURBINE ENGINE (for B1.1 only)
  • MODULE 17. PROPELLER (for B1.1 only)

   ► Modules are taught in different levels of knowledge depending on whether the candidate is wishing to follow a B1 or B2 category career.
Upon completion of each module, the candidate has to sit for an exam which if successfully passed he / she will be credited accordingly.
   ► The exams have a certain standard of pass grade and each module exam consists of different kind of tests like multi choice questions, essays, practical tests etc.

 

 

 

OUR BASIC PRACTICAL TRAINING WORKSHOPS

   ► TQAS in partnership with Deadalus Tech has established practical workshops in order to comply with the practical training requirements.

   ► The workshops are equipped with machine and sheet metal shop equipment, actual aircraft parts, test and calibration units and generally anything that will support customer training needs and students’ practical skill built up. Practical training will also be conducted on actual Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

   ► FURTHER PRACTICAL TRAINING
   Working closely with Deadalus Tech, airlines, other maintenance organisations and technological institutions, we provide the complete one stop practical training shop to meet all EASA legislated training requirements and thus supporting customer’s training needs and students’ practical skill built up.

 

 

SELECTION 2:

 

PART 66 TYPE RATING

   ► TQAS provides a further range of aircraft type rating courses, in order to assist its customers to obtain an one place complete training solutions for B1.1 and B2 for:

               ►Airbus A318/319/320/321 with CFM 56 and IAE V2500 engines according to model.

               ►Boeing B737-300/400/500.

               ►Boeing B737-600/700/800/900.
